Influenster!

I've recently been getting into this new site I found off of some of my favorite people to watch on YouTube called Influenster. This site is a fun place where you can earn badges depending on your personal interests and give reviews of products and answer questions from other people! Once you earn some badges and participate often, you've qualified to get sent a VoxBox which includes different objects each month depending on your interests! Influenster has recently remodeled their website and its a lot more easy to use now! I find myself checking up on it almost daily and answering more peoples questions about products and giving reviews on products I use and love every day! Its a fun site to share your opinion, or even to get advice from someone else that has used something or done something you're interested in! Check it out and give it a try! Something to try from NYC?

I always browse over the NYC section when I go into the drugstore just because its such an inexpensive brand, with so many new things to offer! But no matter what brand Im looking at, I always like to know a little about the product before I spend my money on it! Ive recently been looking for a new mascara that has the full package. By that I  mean it will seperate, volumize, and lenghten! On the NYC website, the High Definition mascara seems to do just that, but I'd like to get someone elses opinion? Does it do all that it claims to!?

My Favorite Smoothie!

Hey guys! I know I haven't posted on here in forever, and I'm really sorry! But today I thought I'd do a little bit of a different post. I really want to get into eating healthier and I figured I'd share one of my favorite snack/drinks with you! I really love smoothies because they're refreshing and filling! Today  I made this smoothie for me and my mom and it was so good! I threw in a few cut up strawberries, some blueberries, and about 3/4 of a cut up banana. Then I poured in some milk, just enough to cover the fruit, and to add some thickness and flavor I scooped in some Vanilla Greek Yogurt (Chobani brand!). Blended it for a few seconds and done! For some cute decoration I put strawberry slices on the edge of the glass :) This is definitley my favorite type of smoothie, but I look forward to trying new types! Half Moon Spring Nails!

Recently a new nail trend has been going around that I wasn't really sure how to go about. I saw a few "Half Moon" tutorials on YouTube and was always interested in it but never gave it a try! With a few striper polishes my aunt gave me for my birthday, there came some rounded tip guides that I figured would help me get the Half Moon look down! So since it was SO gorgeous out as far as weather goes this week, and it was also the first day of spring, I decided to use some fun bright colors! I started by painting all my nails "Lemon Fizz" by China Glaze, then I let it dry really good! Once it wasn't tacky anymore, I put one of the rounded tip guids at the base of my nail, where I thought it would show enough yellow. Once that was in place, I painted the rest of my nail with "JulieG" by Jessie's Girl Cosmetics (named after the amazing JulieG713 on YouTube!). I let it dry for a few minutes before removing the stickers and when they were done  I had my own Half Moon nails! Some came out a little lopsided, because I didn't apply the sticker perfectly, but hey, for my first time I'm pretty happy with them! Have you tried Half Moon nails? If you have, what's your tricks for getting it perfect and if you haven't are you looking forward to trying it out?!

Foundation Love!

So recently I've tried out a new foundation that I've really been liking! I picked up the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, because I thought it might help me out with the oil control on my face. I was really skeptical to pick up a mousse foundation because I've never tried one and I thought it might look a bit cakey. However this stuff goes on so smooth and looks so flawless! My color is Medium 4 Honey Beige and I've been wearing it every single day! Some people have mentioned to me that it was discontinued, however I was able to find it in both CVS and Walmart. I know the Dream Mousse products can be somewhat hard to find, but if you have oily skin and can get your hands on this, I really would reccommend you should! I recently filmed a Review and Demo video for YouTube with this product that I can hopefully get up sometime this week. But for now I just wanted to type up a quick post on it since I haven't updated on here in a while! Hope you guys are doing well and stay tuned for the Review and Demo video!

My Favorite Spring&Summer Nail Polishes!

No Conditioner?!

So today, I was in a rush to get out the door so when I hopped in the shower and washed my hair I decided to skip my regular condtioner and just use shampoo and my Pantene Restore Beautiful Lenghts deep conditioning mask. Usually you would put this in for about 5 minutes then continue with your regular conditioner (mine at the moment is the Mane n' Tail conditioner!) but since  I was in a rush, I didnt want to wait for 2 conditioners to sink in! If you saw my review on the Mane n' Tail products, (click here to watch it!) you know that I felt like these products left my hair feeling a bit dry. Using only the Pantene mask, I noticed my ends felt so super soft today! AND I didnt even apply my Split End Creme by Herbal Essences or my Argan Oil! If this stuff works that amazing with a shampoo&conditioner I'm not totally in love with, I cant wait 'till I pick up my John Freida Full Repair (that stuff rocks!). Anyway, I guess my point is, that this mask is my lifesaver and if you have really dry or damaged hair, or just want to help your hair grow, I totally recommend you pick it up! (About $7 at CVS!) Nail Polish Rack!

So I recently built this very convienient nail polish rack! In case some of you haven't seen it, Nicole (nguerriero19 on YouTube) made a DIY: Nail Polish Rack video a while ago! I decided to make it and I absolutely love it! As you can see, mines not completely full yet but I can't wait till it is! I really recommend checking her video out because it's fairly easy to make and totally worth it! I plan on buying some new summer and spring colors for my rack soon, so comment some of you favorite colors from different brands! (hinthint, Ive really been loving China Glaze! )

My Thoughts: Pantene Restore Beautiful Lengths!

Sorry for the yellow tint on this picture, but you get the idea(; The Pantene Restore Beautiful Lengths is basically my hairs lover right now. This stuff is amazing! As you can see it's just a replenishing deep conditioner for your hair. It claims to help mend split ends and help your hair grow. I stopped using this after I ran out of it during the summer, but now that I've repurchased, Im so happy! This stuff smells AMAZING, makes my ends super soft, and makes my hair just look overall HEALTHY. Its only about 7 dollars at CVS! I would really love to try the Macadamia hair mask EVERYONE has been talking about, but I can't find it anywhere, plus it's a little expensive. If you can't get your hands on it, definitely give this a try!! If you've used it let me know your thoughts!

Nails of the Moment!

So I JUST finished doing my nails, literally! The pink color is a color I'm absolutely loving right now! Its"Pink Forever" by Sinful Colors! On my ring finger I wanted to add a little shimmer, so starting thicker towards the top and thinner near the cuticle, I applied a Milani HD Effects Nail polish in "HD". On top I added a few swipes of an Art Deco "Ice Breaker" Glitter Striper. I really like this look and its just so fun and girly!!

2012!?!

So it's finally 2012!! I hope everyone had an amazing New Years whether you went to parties or just stayed in! I hope 2012 has some great things in store for everyone! Make any resolutions??
